About the letters
What is this?
A story told in letters. You receive them from Sef, who died on a Tuesday and can somehow write to exactly one address: yours. It's a work of fiction, and it's free.
How do letters arrive?
About one a day, by email and here in the letterbox — both show the same letters. Sometimes a few days pass between letters. That's part of the story; nothing is wrong, and nothing is ever lost.
How do I write back?
Each letter ends with a few replies in your voice. Choose one — Sef notices which. When you choose a reply, you can sometimes add a line of your own beneath it (the P.S.). And you can always write in the margin of any letter: a thought, a question, anything. Margins keep. Sef reads them, slowly.
Can I mark a line I love?
Yes. Touch and hold any line to mark it. Marked lines are kept for you.
What if I stop reading for a while?
Nothing bad. The letters wait. Open the box again and the next one comes. There's no streak, no score, and no such thing as too late.
Can I write my own letter to Sef?
Later in the correspondence, a writing desk opens in your letterbox. You can write to Sef in your own words — one letter at a time. Sef reads every one, and a reply comes when it comes. Sometimes the desk closes for a little while when Sef is mid-journey; your letters keep, and it opens again.
Is this really from the beyond?
